Direct Support Professional | Care Partners | Irvine 2023-2024
Care Giver, Life Coach, ADLs
I specialize in assisting individuals of all ages, including children, seniors, and adults, with Assisted Daily Living Tasks (ADLs). My role involves engaging in activities, event planning, and contributing to the coordination of personal life tasks and goals.
Serving as a friend, mentor, and guide, I focus on fostering interdependence in individuals and supporting their personal growth or goals specified by family members when applicable. I work with ASD clients, as young as seven years old, and seniors. I provide services for physically disabled seniors and adults to help them complete their ADLs with dignity and confidence. I have worked with clients who need walkers, wheelchairs, or oxygen tanks, and with clients who have CP or may need assistance toileting or changing. I have worked with verbal and non-verbal clients; I have used accessible programs and tools to chat with them and even play video games with them.
I generate daily activities and learning experiences focused on teaching interdependence in clients. My philosophy is to meet clients where they are and let them tell me what they would like out of our time together, providing suggestions, options, and growth opportunities as our time progresses.
